The ensemble comprises two primary musicians: pianist Lee Harbaugh and vocalist/instrumentalist Michael Bowen. The duo at times also incorporates the lovely talent of vocalist and instrumentalist Amanda Chapman.
Although the three musicians have each performed extensively for decades, the group was formally established in 2022 after a fortuitous introduction by mutual friend Scott Ferrell, the minister of music at First Methodist Church in Mansfield, Texas. Lee Harbaugh and Michael Bowen, recognizing their musical chemistry, initially formed the duo and quickly began to record and book gigs together. With the recent addition of Amanda Chapman as an occasional sub for Michael, the group has further enriched their sound with Amanda's beautiful silky vocals.
Their repertoire primarily spans the Great American Songbook and extends into original compositions and even some modern pop tunes, all delivered with a distinct blend of passion and proficiency.
Michael Bowen, with his extensive background of performing in clubs and restaurants, lends his unique vocal talent to the ensemble, while Lee Harbaugh, a decorated performer and composer, adds depth and dynamism with his skilled piano artistry. The addition of vocalist/instrumentalist Amanda Chapman, known for her powerful contralto voice and exquisite songwriting skills, adds a rich and captivating dimension to the ensemble.
Their performances have drawn attention and acclaim from various venues, including frequent appearances at The Vault Seafood and Steakhouse in Mansfield, and La Gondola Italian Restaurant in Mansfield. They have even recently performed at the renowned Birdland Jazz Club in New York City. Additionally, Harbaugh and Bowen had the privilege of opening for New York singer-songwriter Nellie McKay in September 2022 at the historic Farr Best Theater in downtown Mansfield, TX. Alongside these performances, Harbaugh and Bowen are sought-after entertainers for special events such as parties and weddings.
